Dongling Company Awarded CATA Civil Aviation Science and Technology Award for Crashworthiness Research

The China Air Transport Association (CATA) is a national industry association operating under the guidance and supervision of the Civil Aviation Administration of China. The CATA Civil Aviation Science and Technology Award is an industry-level science and technology award approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Civil Aviation Administration of China, representing the highest standard and most prestigious recognition in the field of civil aviation technology in China.

The research and application of key technologies for civil aircraft crashworthiness and occupant safety represent a critical and highly complex area within aviation safety. The core objective is to maximize the protection of occupants' lives in the event of an unavoidable crash, while also providing scientific evidence and technical support for the establishment of airworthiness regulations and compliance verification.

As the verification and testing unit for the project, Dongling Company has independently developed an acceleration-type crash simulation test system, a high-performance testing platform capable of long-duration pulses and closed-loop control of arbitrary shock waveforms. Within a controlled, repeatable, and high-fidelity laboratory environment, this system accurately replicates the dynamic impact conditions encountered in actual crash events. Serving as a key verification platform that transforms 'theoretical design' and 'computer simulation' into 'safety products proven through rigorous testing,' it functions as an indispensable bridge connecting virtual development and real-world application in modern aviation safety systems.

The project has also established a comprehensive crashworthiness airworthiness standard system, encompassing technical standard orders, advisory circulars, certification manuals, and industry standards. This system has been successfully applied to the airworthiness verification and certification of domestic civil aircraft, including the C919.
